We will guide you every step of the way from just receing your orders & researching the comunity to searching for your home, negotiating contracts and inspections, and closing on your home & after you move in.
Receive Orders & Plan The Move
You are probably here because you have received orders or you know you are about to receive orders to move into our area. Welcome! It's important that you don't make any final decissions until you have orders in hand but we can get a headstart.
Create a Moving Plan: Meet with us to develop a timeline, budget, and overall moving strategy. Fill out the form below or give me a call to set up a time!
Confirm Details: Verify your PCS orders, including the location, reporting date, and any special instructions.
Attend Briefing: Participate in a mandatory PCS briefing at your current base.
Research the New Location and Find Home
Housing Options: Explore off-base housing with us! We can use facetime or video showings if you cannot tour in person. We search on and our off market property lists for you! We wil gather all of the information available so that you can make the best decision for you and your family.
Community and Amenities: Let us know your needs so we can provide references for schools, gyms, churches, healthcare facilities, and other amenities as needed.
Coordinate with the Transportation Office, Notify Relevant Parties, and Arrange Travel Plans
Move Coordination: Schedule an appointment with the Transportation Office to arrange the shipping of your household goods.
Choose Moving Method: Decide between using government-contracted movers or a personally procured move (PPM).
Landlord or Housing Office: Provide notice to your current landlord or housing office and schedule a move-out inspection.
Travel Arrangements: Book flights or plan your driving route and reserve temporary lodging if needed.
Pack and Transfer Services
Start Packing: Declutter, organize important documents, and begin packing non-essential items.
Transfer Utilities: Schedule disconnection of utilities at your current home and connection at your new home.
Inform Institutions: Update your address with USPS, banks, insurance companies, and notify schools and employers.
Move and Settle In
Unpack Essentials First: Prioritize unpacking items that are crucial for daily living, such as kitchen supplies, toiletries, and clothing.
Explore Your New Community: Take time to familiarize yourself with nearby amenities, including grocery stores, schools, and healthcare facilities.
Connect with Local Resources: Reach out to local military support groups and services to help with the transition and to meet other families in the area.
